The Challenge
Develop an advanced softswitch and a billing system to run in cities of STELT Telecom presence, its further technical support and maintenance.The Solution
During 8 months by 2 groups of 4 people, namely, telephony and billing teams a unique softswitch and a billing system have been developed.RealEast Softswitch RFS1000 possesses all features needed for a telecom company as RSF1000 modules can be deployed in central, regional and global configurations for precise network engineering based on regional capacity and service requirements. Leveraging industry-standard packet protocols such as SIP, H.323 and other, the RSF1000 provides efficient communications internally, controlling third-party products and interfacing with other networks.
The RFS1000 features are:
- Signaling proxying
- Optional proxying of media-traffic, VoIP as well
- Convergence of SIP and H323 signaling protocols
- Authentication of the calls by IP, the called and caller number prefixes
- Routing by LCR/ASR/dynamic quality/cost
- Support of SIP and H323 devices that reside behind the NAT
- Translation of the phone numbers
- Collection of the Billing information by RADIUS
- Web management interface
- Collection of the statistics by SNMP, support of SNMP-alerts
