The Challenge

Develop an advanced softswitch and a billing system to run in cities of STELT Telecom presence, its further technical support and maintenance.

The Solution

During 8 months by 2 groups of 4 people, namely, telephony and billing teams a unique softswitch and a billing system have been developed.

RealEast Softswitch RFS1000 possesses all features needed for a telecom company as RSF1000 modules can be deployed in central, regional and global configurations for precise network engineering based on regional capacity and service requirements. Leveraging industry-standard packet protocols such as SIP, H.323 and other, the RSF1000 provides efficient communications internally, controlling third-party products and interfacing with other networks.

The RFS1000 features are:

Signaling proxying
Optional proxying of media-traffic, VoIP as well
Convergence of SIP and H323 signaling protocols
Authentication of the calls by IP, the called and caller number prefixes
Routing by LCR/ASR/dynamic quality/cost
Support of SIP and H323 devices that reside behind the NAT
Translation of the phone numbers
Collection of the Billing information by RADIUS
Web management interface
Collection of the statistics by SNMP, support of SNMP-alerts
