Program Overview. We will discuss information fusion problems in the context of applications of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Theory of Search for Moving Objects (TSMO). It is supposed to have participants, who have expertise in such subject domains as: GIS, Information Fusion, TSMO, Computer Algebra and Expert Systems.

A preliminary list of topics of the Workshop is shown below.
  1. Geoinformatics and GIS
  2. Information Fusion on GIS
  3. Operation research and TSMO for GIS applications
  4. Computer algebra and computer calculus for GIS applications
  5. Programming technology for GIS and GIS applications
  6. GIS oriented ontology development
  7. Intelligent GIS
  8. Maritime GIS
Workshop Location. According to the preliminary agreement, the IF&GIS-2005 Workshop will take place in the historical building "Palace of Grand Prince Vladimir Romanov", now "House of Scientists", located in the heart of St. Petersburg, address: 26, Dvortsovaya emb., St. Petersburg, 191186, Russia. This venue allows the conference organizers to arrange for workshop itself as well as for the associated events (informal discussions, reception, breaks, etc.).

Paper Submissions. Workshop "IF&GIS-2005" will include regular contributed papers.

Regular papers: Authors are requested to submit a 300-word (maximum) summary/abstract of their paper with an identified topic area above by March 15, 2005. Abstract submission is required for authors to receive a notification to submit the full paper. The summary/abstract should clearly state the significance of the problem and identify its contribution to the field. It should include an address for correspondence (including phone, fax and email). Manuscripts of each full paper must be submitted through the local organizing committee

May 31, 2005. Each paper (maximum of 8 pages in the conference proceedings) should be prepared with the MS Word and PDF formats.
