Silicon Valley Open Doors 2006

Computer History Museum, Mountain View, California, USA, Nov 16, 2006 – Nov 17, 2006

The American Business Association of Russian Professionals (AmBAR) announces its second annual technology investment conference Silicon Valley Open Doors (SVOD), which will take place in Silicon Valley (California, USA) on November 16-17, 2006. The event is organized in equal partnership with Russian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (RVCA) and Ukrainian Center for Innovation Development (CID).

Despite the significant scientific and innovation potential of the Former Soviet republics, the gap still exists between the technology entrepreneurship in these countries and the global market. SVOD conference is the only event of its kind bringing dozens of high-tech innovators from Russia and Ukraine and other FSU countries together with US sources of capital. On the one hand, it introduces American venture capital community to ideas, technologies, and entrepreneurial talent that come out of universities and research labs in the Former Soviet Union. On the other, SVOD provides an unparalleled opportunity for the Russian and Ukrainian entrepreneurs to commercialize their ideas globally, learn American venture fundraising practices, acquire necessary business acumen and skills, meet US investors, and create partnership ties with Silicon Valley’s ecosystem.
