The publication was developed in the framework of a special program "Enterprise Europe Network - Russia, Gate2Rubin Consortium, Module A Regional Center - St. Petersburg" operated by St. Petersburg Foundation for SME Development and financed by the Committee for Economic Development, Industrial Policy and Trade in cooperation with RUSSOFT Association, Ingria Techopark & Business Incubator and the First St. Petersburg business incubator.

It includes an overview of the St. Petersburg Software and Information Technology Services Industry and a catalogue of IT exporting companies from St. Petersburg. The catalogue provides up-to-date information on St. Petersburg's companies which sell software and offer software development outsourcing services in Russia as well as develop products and services for the global IT market.
