A software solution for effective transaction on the multi-unit enterprises

The Pilot Group's specialists have finished the work under the Batch Shipment project.
Batch Shipment software solution is a functional amplification of the active system integrated and running on the enterprise. The main accomplished task is the automatic data mailing between the remotely situated units about the shipped products and work pieces (here the units are located on different continents).
This was another solution developed for our client ISS Inc. As long as two years we have been realizing business systems for ISS. Inc. We have completed different software development projects and programming solutions including multi-tier systems, Internet/intranet access and reporting systems, complex data processing and visualization components and tools.
Batch Shipment software solution is a system of the stored procedures, web service and COM +.
It was purposed to maintain double-sided data exchange between two remote systems and to increase the efficiency of transactions, responsible for produce shipping. New transaction "Batch Shipment" is a modification of the "Shipping" transaction. This old transaction required the user to enter numerous answers on the questions when ship each produce skid. New transaction allows to send all skids of the order at once with less information required. And after some checking and affirmation all the skids are automatically shipped by the system. Without any additional transactions the produce is ready to be processed in the second unit of the enterprise.
The "Transaction Exchange Agent" application was developed to mail data. It uses Web-service technology that allows to use the SOAP protocol, which works above the HTTP protocol. COM+ technology is used to call web service. The solution is realized on .NET (ASP.NET, WEB Service) for MS SQL Server 2000.
The project is put into service at the moment.
