National Business Angel Association trains innovators and angel investors alike

Earlier this month, Russia’s National Association of Business Angels (NABA) test-ran its proprietary pilot licensed program developed to train young innovative entrepreneurs in approaching early stage venture investment deals

Nov 20, 2013
The new program was test-run between November 4 and November 8, 2013 with a reported 39 innovators participating.

To put together the course, NABA is said to have used methodologies developed for Europe’s Ready for Equity! and Ready for Equity!II projects already implemented by a consortium of European early stage VC investors with support from the European Commission, as well as the results of other similar programs and projects.

Meanwhile, NABA launched earlier this week another training program, this time for fresh business angel investors in how to approach venture investment deals. Over the course of this week, 45 private investors, serial entrepreneurs and service providers are learning the ABCs of company valuation, the building of a diversified investment portfolio, how to take part in syndicated transactions, and what it takes to develop an exit strategy.

On Saturday, November 16, NABA is holding its Pitch for Match, a pitch session bringing together the participants of both new programs.
