Press-conference on RUSSOFT's "White Paper" of Russian IT outsourcing and the results of the second survey of Russian market of export software

On June 17th, 2005 the RUSSOFT Association is conducting a press-conference "Opportunities of Russia in Exporting Products and Services in the Area of Software Development" within the framework of the 5th International Conference, devoted to the entrance of the RUSSOFT White Paper on Russian Outsourcing in the world and the announcement of preliminary results from the second annual market research for exporting products and services in the software sphere in Russia.
RUSSOFT's "White Paper" is the fruit of the combined strength of companies participating in RUSSOFT, and is directed to bringing more adequate and objective information about the state and the perspectives of market progress for software development on demand in Russia to the international IT-association. The "White Paper" is intended to eliminate the negative information field, created in large part by the media, oriented almost exclusively to covering political events in Russia. In the end current information about the state of Russia's service export market and opportunities of interaction with the world IT-association remains inaccessible.
RUSSOFT's "White Paper" offers the reader objective information about the different aspects of the situation in the market, including questions about training the personnel, interaction with the government, questions about the legislature, who regulates the IT sphere and so on. It also gives general characteristic about the state of Russia's economy to allow a potential client to evaluate all the risks of work in Russia.
It is assumed that the "White Paper" will be regularly published tracking the dynamics of IT industry development and the corresponding legislative space in Russia.
The second research about the Russian software development market in Russia is conducted this year with the portal www.russoft.org. We can so far subdivide it into preliminary research results, which show the continuation of growth of export revolutions. First of all the product export market, which underwent serious changes in the last few years when it had large masses of developers selling their products through the Internet, is separately examined. Growing considerably the export revolution is the center of development for off-shore companies, which lowers the amount of government scientific research centers. The wages for developers has risen; the picture of the distribution of companies throughout the region strengthens the role of Saint Petersburg. A majority of company directors optimistically evaluate the future of the development market, predicting the strength of consolidating and coarsening the process, which already sufficiently clearly began to appear according to the results of the conducted research.
