Acronis and 1C Partner for Data Backup

Acronis and 1C have announced a strategic partnership with the launch of a joint solution for data backup, which has been integrated into 1C’s accounting and ERP system

Jun 10, 2014
The new solution is called 1C: Cloud Archive and is based on Acronis’ AnyData technology, which allows users to backup any type of data from any source, and the company’s Acronis Storage cloud solution for data warehousing. The new solution provides automatic cloud backup of the 1C: Enterprise database and system configuration directly from the user interface. In the event of crashes or data loss, 1C: Cloud Archive users can quickly restore all data and settings for the 1C: Enterprise platform.

1C: Cloud Archive can be embedded in any configuration of 1C: Enterprise 8 and is included as standard with all packages. Through Aug. 31, the company is offering professional users a free 100GB of disk space for the duration of any ITS contract.

While most solutions allow copying of system files and application infrastructure, the new Acronis/1C service allows enterprise to back up databases and configuration for fast recovery in the event of any failure, the company said.

"The new built-in service from Acronis allows users to save valuable business data to the cloud automatically," said Boris Nuraliev, director of 1C. "Data will be protected against any mishap, whether it be a from a virus, equipment failure or human error. The process is simple for users because the service automatically backs up databases to the cloud and verifies the transfer. It is also significant that Acronis provides inexpensive information storage. As a result, the new product is affordable for even the most modest IT budget."

"We have long thought of cooperating with Boris Nuraliev. When I returned as CEO of Acronis and we launched Acronis Labs, we finally managed to bring our ideas to life to protect the most important data for the majority of companies in Russia," said the founder and CEO of Acronis Sergey Beloussov. "Given how important the sales and customer data stored on 1C is, we expect that almost every user of 1C: Enterprise will take advantage of the solution and regular backups will become normal practice for all companies."

Deployment, management and maintenance of the 1C: Cloud Archive service is provided by IT Lite.

"Acronis technologies and the support they offer their partners enabled us to deploy the new service quickly," said Ivan Chernov, Director of IT Lite. "As a result, it only took three months to create a pilot version and that long again to release a commercial version."
