Peter Vaihansky, Vice President, StarSoft Development Labs, Inc., Cambridge, Massachusetts and St. Petersburg, Russia, was elected today to the Board of Directors of the US-Russia Chamber of Commerce of New England, Inc. (USRCCNE). The appointment is effective immediately.
Accepting the appointment by the Board, Vaihansky noted, "In this time of expanding global interest in both Russia and Eastern Europe, The US-Russia Chamber of Commerce of New England plays an important role, providing local access to business opportunity in a fast-growing region of the world. I look forward to working closely with the Board and Members of the USRCCNE to impact practical and profitable business relationships between our New England region and Russia."
Daniel Satinsky, Chairman of the Board of the USRCCNE, said, "We are delighted that Peter will contribute his energy and expertise to our organization. Peter brings both practical Russian-American deal making experience, as well as a knowledge and appreciation, gained during his tenure with AmCham in St. Petersburg, of the role organizations like ours play in international business development."
In line with his professional background and his position as Vice President in charge of StarSoft Development Labs' operations in the United States since October, 2005, Vaihansky anticipates adding particular value to the Chamber's technology membership and to its technology program initiatives, while facilitating deepening business relationships across the range of other industry sectors.
