MERA Confirms its ISO 9001:2000 Certification with BSI Management Systems

Toronto, ON, Canada - January 12, 2005 - MERA Networks, a forefront international software development outsourcing company, today announced that its Russia-based MERA NN R&D Division has confirmed ISO 9001:2000 compliance as a result of external audit. The Certificate proves compliance of MERA NN's Quality Management System with the ISO 9001:2000 Standard requirements.
The ISO 9001 audit was performed for MERA NN by BSI MS Russia, a division of the BSI Management Systems - the world's largest and most influential management systems registrar. The external on-site audit has demonstrated that the Company's management system fully conforms to the requirements of the ISO 9001:2000 Standard and that MERA NN adheres to its own highly challenging quality policies and objectives.
The certification emphasized MERA's commitment to improving customer satisfaction and upholding high quality standards. The external auditor has not revealed a single nonconformity during assessment and specially acknowledged the maturity of MERA NN Quality Management System and high professionalism of its personnel, which comes in tune with the reports by MERA's former QMS assessment partner - DNV (Det Norske Veritas).
Another strategic line of activities for MERA NN in terms of quality standards is the continuous improvement of its QMS in line with requirements of the most widely used TL 9000 telecom quality standard. MERA NN has demonstrated significant progress in TL 9000 requirements implementation. TL 9000 metrics are integrated into the MERA NN QMS and widely used for product monitoring and measurements, which allows for on-going improvement of software development and testing processes.
