World’s largest CeBIT fair opens in Hannover

The world’s most famous exhibition for IT & computer tchnologies, the “CeBIT-2006, has started in Hannover yesterday.

The world’s most famous exhibition for IT & computer tchnologies, the "CeBIT-2006", has started in Hannover yesterday. More than 6,000 exhibitors are participating in the show from all over the world, including more than 70 Russian companies. It's been already over 12 years, since Russians has started presenting their goods and services at this international fair.

According to ITAR-TASS, Germany's 1st woman Chancellor, Angela Merkel, sees the event as a positive input into German and global economy. The Chancellor emphasized her hope for the show to help strengthen the positions of German hi-tech companies in Europe.

The most attractive features of "CeBIT-2006" include advanced Internet technologies, software and hardware innovations, digital recreation programs and telecommunication solutions.

The sponsors of the international fair express their expectaions for the show to be attended by more than 700,000 people this year.
