Tatarstan high tech techno-parks named Russia’s best again

The Russian Ministry of Communications has named Kazan IT-Park and Knimgrad, the most prominent high tech techno-parks in the Republic of Tatarstan, in the mid-Volga area, Russia’s best such techno-parks for a third year running, Russian news agency FederalPress.Privolzhye reports citing a source in the Tatarstan Regional Ministry of Communications.
According to a federal panel of ministerial experts that assessed the work of the regional high tech techno-parks, in 2012 IT-Park, headqiartered in Kazan, Tatarstan’s capital city, "boosted its efficiency considerably," with 58 of its resident companies making a notable profit of more than $150m.
IT-Park’s Kazan venue is reported to have been 100% occupied the next year after its launch in 2009. It was then decided to build a second IT-Park site in Tatarstan, this time in the city of Naberezhnye Chelny some 240km east of Kazan. Today, the Chelny site hosts a reported 72 residents.
