DataArt Enhances Point-of-Sale Technology for Bematech
DataArt, the technology consulting firm that develops end-to-end solutions for select industries, today announced its collaboration with Bematech, the market leader in Point-of-Sale technologies
Mar 09, 2016
The first result of the partnership is a stand-alone, subscription-based cloud infrastructure that allows modern retailers to manage their business without investing in a proprietary IT system.
Bematech commands a majority of the market share for restaurant receipt printers in Brazil and a significant share of the U.S. market for kitchen display systems including multiple top 500 QSR restaurant chains. The partnership with DataArt underlines a strategic shift for the Point-of-Sale industry towards a light, accessible IT infrastructure, provided through the cloud to any Bematech Android All-in-One terminal or customer preferred Android mobile device. By reducing the cost of entry into the market and rapidly fast-forwarding the on-boarding process, this technology makes it much easier for new businesses to get underway.
Another paradigm shift is a software design that integrates functionality, previously dispersed across multiple systems. The new Bematech Point-of-Sale platform, Bemacash, enables end users to track and manage their stock, sales and delivery process, as well as have a wide range of functionality in other areas, including shift tracking, employee rosters, cash drawer, order registration, inventory management and reward system. This platform integrates seamlessly with the Bematech fiscal manager system in Brazil, designed to track taxes and send tax reports to the local governments, helping companies meet compliance demands; while Bemacash app simplifies the check-out process and offers a wide range of payment methods.
The new services provide businesses with greater efficiency, flexibility and control through user-friendly, remote data access, intelligent automation and streamlining of business processes, while eliminating the costs of building and maintaining the infrastructure internally, all for a small monthly fee.
"DataArt exceeded our expectations on this project bringing specific Android expertise which significantly helped successfully execute the project within a tight deadline. This, in combination with cloud based infrastructure and development methodologies made the difference in achieving an outstanding outcome," said Fabio Romano, Software Development Manager at Bematech.
"It’s always a privilege to work with clients who seek to push the boundaries of what’s possible," said Alexei Miller, managing director at DataArt. "Bematech is the industry’s household name in Latin and North America, and we’re grateful for the trust they have put in DataArt to bring their already excellent systems to the next level."
