Aplana Software at ROSS-2005: distributed solutions are not so costly anymore
At the major annual software outsourcing summit Aplana Software presented the best practices for design and engineering of large-scale distributed applications.

ROSS - Russian Outsourcing and Software Summit, traditionally held in St-Petersburg in mid June, has become the meeting-place for leading software development companies from Russia and CIS with the potential customers and partners, primarily from Europe and USA. The forum is not only a great networking opportunities, it is also a tribune for discussions of hot issues in the area of software engineering.
The aspects of distributed solutions development was one of the Forum core topics, it was discussed within a dedicated workshop. In the presentation devoted to global application development and implementation, Victor Weinstein, Aplana’s CEO, explained how innovation technologies help to decrease costs and raise manageability of distributed systems. Customers are always interested in reduction of implementation and maintenance costs, reliable and scalable performance, manageability and flexible changeability and local specifics support. Reliance on open standards and state-of-the-art technologies makes it possible to solve these tasks more effectively than it used to be.
