Runa backs Anturis series-A

Runa Capital and VEB Innovations have injected $2m into Anturis, a Russia- and US-based provider of IT monitoring and troubleshooting services for SMEs

The fresh capital will be used to expand Anturis’s operations internationally, as well as finance further R&D and new marketing activities.

VEB is the venture fund of Vnesheconombank and was launched at the end of 2011. The fund invests in Russian technology companies under the state-backed Skolkovo project, which is a hub outside Moscow for Russian start-ups. The project has been described as the Russian equivalent of Silicon Valley.

Company

Founded in 2011, Anturis has bases in Moscow and San Francisco – the company’s development team are based in Russia, while its sales and marketing team reside in the US.

Anturis provides a software-as-a-service (SaaS) monitoring and troubleshooting platform for the IT infrastructure and external web services of SMEs. The company’s Anturis Agent product is designed to ensure that a business’s website and corresponding online services are running correctly. Its Anturis Private Agent platform is installed on local servers to enable monitoring of a company’s internal IT infrastructure.

The company’s SaaS platform launched this year after spending some months in open beta. Anturis claims to already have more than 100 customers.

People

Sergey Nevstruev is the CEO of Anturis. The company was founded by Serguei Beloussov, Max Tsypliaev and Ilya Zubarev. Beloussov and Zubarev are also both senior partners at Runa.
