The agreement paves the way for sharing the best practices and informing each other on new projects. Its provisions are believed to lay the foundation for mutual use of infrastructure which would assist resident companies in entering the national markets of Russia and Spain, and enable the launch of an array of bilateral scientific symposiums, business meetings, and other programs.
Both Technoparks are ready to act as a fast track for direct contact between Spanish and Russian companies, and also offer the companies consulting services regarding legal matters in the two countries.
It is a three-year agreement, with the possibility to prolong it upon mutual consent.
PTA sets up 100 start-ups a year, 80% of which go belly up. The Andalucia Technopark has nurtured 630 companies over its 20 years of operation, now supporting about 15,000 local jobs. The collective revenue of PTA’s resident companies is said to account for 11% of Andalucia’s GDP.
