Exigen Services Achieves Second Consecutive Inc. 5000 Ranking

Sep 23, 2009
Exigen® Services, the leading next generation application outsourcing provider, has been ranked for the second consecutive year on the Inc. 5000, Inc. magazine’s annual list of America’s fastest-growing private companies. The ranking in the 2009 Inc. 5000 was assured by Exigen Services’ commitment to steady growth, with the company recording a three-year revenue growth from 2005-to-2008 of more than 255 percent, and maintaining a year-on-year compound annual growth rate (CAGR) above 35 percent.

The company also achieved Inc. 5000 rankings among the top 50 fastest-growing companies in the San Francisco area, and the top 100 largest companies by employee numbers. During the same period evaluated by the Inc. 5000, Exigen Services achieved a number of other recognitions for leadership in the application outsourcing industry, including the #1 ranking for software testing and quality assurance services in outsourcing in the 2008 Brown & Wilson Black Book of Outsourcing. The company was also listed on the Global Services 100 and the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals’ (IAOP) Global Outsourcing 100 for multiple years between 2005 and 2008.

After acquiring Russian-based Agile software development leader Starsoft Development Labs in 2007, Exigen Services continued its expansion strategy in 2009 by acquiring Chinese-based application outsourcing provider Taihoo Technologies. The acquisition of Taihoo created Exigen Services’ first local base of operations in the Asia-Pacific market. Taihoo had experience with Agile, as well, and also brought additional expertise in the mobile application development and healthcare product development industries.

The 2009 Inc. 5000 serves as a unique report card on the U.S. economy. Despite the ongoing recession, aggregate revenue among the companies on the list increased to $214 billion, up $29 billion from last year, with a median three-year growth rate of 126 percent. The Inc. 5000 are responsible for creating more than 1 million jobs since their founding, making the list perhaps the best example of the impact private, fast-growing companies can have on the economy. Complete results of the Inc. 5000, including company profiles and an interactive database that can be sorted by industry, region, and other criteria, can be found on Inc.com.
