Dear Colleagues,
We invite you to participate in the First International Forum FROM SCIENCE TO BUSINESS "Experience in development of infrastructure for innovation activity" which is to be held in St.-Petersburg, Russia during May 17-19, 2007.
The Forum is to be a frank dialogue carried by state structures, business and science. Now the time has come to clearly understand the mechanism of innovation development of state, and first of all to comprehend in more detail the infrastructure for innovation activity. Knowing and understanding the innovation policy of Russia, laws of its development and priorities, you can better plan your own innovation projects and extend your own business in cooperation with Russian businessmen, scientific research institutes, academies. The international cooperation gives big opportunities for development and strengthening to any structure.
The Forum is meant to establish the mutually beneficial cooperation of science and business in forming of knowledge-based economics. The experience of world’s leading countries in forming of infrastructure for innovation activity will be presented at the Forum together with best examples of Russian innovation projects.
Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Russian Federation G.O. Gref, Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation A.A. Fursenko, Minister of Information Technology and Communication of the Russian Federation L.D. Reiman were invited to take part in the Forum and now consider participation. Key reports are to be made by world’s leading specialists in innovation technique from America, Europe and Asia, as well as by heads of Russian ministries and departments responsible for development and application of innovation infrastructure in Russia. Thus the Forum participants can compare Russian experience with the world one. During the round table discussions you will have a possibility to get the latest information about innovation projects being carried in Russia, to know more about mechanism and conditions of cooperation between state and business and to personally meet heads of state programs and projects. Virtual exhibition of projects will allow investors and potential users of innovation infrastructure to find partners for their particular projects.
By joint efforts the constructive cooperation between science, business and state in the field of forming of national innovation economics is to be established.
On the Forum completion the recommendations on interaction of the above structures will be worked out. This document will be submitted for consideration to the Government of the Russian Federation and to the State Duma. Along with the Forum materials the catalogue of organizations which develop by means of innovation reforms is to be issued.

Excursion program (optional). An extensive optional excursion program is prepared for participants and accompanying persons. Night at the Russian folk show and trip to .old Russian town Novgorod will give you an insight of Russian traditions and history.
