Two Technopark Sites to be Built in Kuzbass
In 2008 works are planned to be launched at the first and second sites of Kuzbass IT technopark.

Technopark annual investment program and its activity business financing mechanism are supposed to be developed. The given issues were discussed at the session of the regional administration focused on developing the 2008 action program for Kuzbass technopark.
According to Vyacheslav Velichko, Director General of Kuzbass technopark and advisor to the regional governor, in 2008 first quarter ‘basic prerequisites for rapid development of the largest regional innovation project’ should be established, i.e. agreements with investors concluded, first scientific developments launched into implementation, Novokuznetsk subsidiary opened, key documents regulating Kuzbass technopark activity developed, including a corresponding regional legislation draft.
It should be noted that at the end of last December Viktor Zubkov, the RF Prime Minister, signed an order to integrate Kemerovo Region into the state program ‘Establishing IT technoparks in the Russian Federation’.
N&I Agency Regnnum reports about 100 innovative projects, many of which are related to deep processing of coal, have been assembled on the basis of the technopark being built in Kuzbass. Three business incubators started operating in autumn: agro-industrial, ‘Coal.Communication.Security’, focused on developing technologies to improve mining safety using contemporary telecommunications technologies, and ‘BusinessInformatics’, focused on IT technologies.
