An agreement was signed last week between the Foundation and the Moscow government to buttress the decision.
The agreement calls, among other things, for broad-based assistance in placing Skolkovo-originating projects in Moscow’s techno-parks and industrial parks and also in getting Skolkovo residents involved in municipal programs aimed at boosting the city’s innovation development.
In addition, Moscow undertakes to initiate efforts aiming to encourage local demand for innovative products and serviced developed by the residents and expected to help improve the Moscow economy. One of the steps would be taking Skolkovo into account when implementing government procurement programs.
Also, the partners will consider opening a joint project office in Skolkovo to coordinate and manage inter-cluster projects developed by Skolkovo companies and expected to help solve the numerous problems that the Russian capital faces.
