ESC identifies Russia as key IT market

The Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council (ESC) has identified Russia as a major potential IT market.
Of late Russia had embarked on strengthening the IT infrastructure and also having tie-ups with India in the segment, an ESC release said here.
Senior Deputy Minister of IT of Russian Federation Andrei Korotkov, in an interface with ESC recently had said India and Russia could join hands in bridging the rural and urban digital divide in both countries, the release said.
ESC said it would participate in 'Info-Communications of Russia -- 21st Century', an annual exhibition-cum-forum to be held in Moscow during September 9-13.
Over 200 leading Russian and foreign telecom and IT companies from Germany, Greece, Israel, Italy, China, the US, France and Japan are expected to participate in the event.
From India, Shyam Telecom, Acme Telepower, Coral Telecom, Neulite Products and Web Werks India would participate in the exhibition.
