ICT Connector Project Russia. Deadline for Applications is Settled

ICT Connector Project Russia is already in progress. First applications are already received and will be accepted until the end of July.
The project is jointly managed by International Finance Corporation (IFC) and FINPRO. It is organized under the Private Enterprise Partnership (PEP) program, which provides Technical Assistance (TA) to the private sector in the former Soviet Union. PEP builds on ten years of hands-on IFC investment and advisory experience in the region.
Geographically the Project covers North-West Russia and other important ICT centers in Russia. The project 's initial timetable is scheduled to be two years and it started at the beginning of 2003.
The project focuses on assisting Russian ICT sector companies by:
Assisting in certification procedures
Providing training in software development processes
Advising in project management issues
Promoting Russian ICT sector
Co-partnering with Russian Alliance of Russian IT Companies (VARITA)
Creating functional portal to support companies in partnerships.
For the most part all trainings will be financed by the project. The participants should show their interest providing form 10 to 20 % of the trainings cost. Certification is subject to the same policy.
Comprehensive data about the current ICT market in Russia, including latest findings in the offshore programming sector, legislation, information about active companies, associations, fairs and other events.
Assistance in locating, finding and matching companies, partnerships and possible investment and project financing possibilities in the ICT sector
Support in analyzing potential local partners
Assistance in legal issues and other contract related matters
