Ukrainian Software developers at CeBIT 2005

CeBIT 2005, the biggest world IT event of the year took place in Hanover, Germany, on March 10-16. Each year the exhibition is participated by the thousands of companies and tens of thousands of top IT experts. More than 6270 companies from 69 countries presented their products and services in Hanover this year which is a record achievement for the last three years and a sign of revival for IT industry. The event was held by marketing agency Deutsche Messe AG which estimates that the visitors amounted up to 510 thousand, with about 60 thousand being IT professionals.
This year the exhibition format has changed representing the latest trends in IT world. There have been new expositions e.g. "Business Processes", a special category was created for digital devices and services. The "Telecommunications and Networks" category has been named "Communications". There has been special attention paid to medium- and small size companies and there were daily conferences and discussions for them within the framework of CeBIT SME Forum. The share of consumer electronics has grown compared to previous years. However, organizers stress that CeBIT is business oriented and present the event as the place to meet for IT market players of all kinds.
Leading Ukrainian software developers participated CeBIT, such as elite Software Products (eSP) Consortium, Mirasoft Group, Miratech Ltd, ProFIX, SoftServe etc. They were present at different team or individual stands, in particular, Mirasoft Group joined the croup of CIS software developers, whose collective stand was organized by the Russian National Association RUSSOFT.
It is necessary to note that CeBIT for the first time has reserved a special category for providers of ICT outsourcing services which represents fast growing interest to industry. More than 3 000 square meters of area has been reserved for ITC outsourcing in the "Business Processes" Hall where world IT leaders, medium and small companies where offering their services. The interest to outsourcing has been extremely strong this year and number of participating providers has significantly grown compared to previous years. Mirasoft Group stand neighbored companies from India, China, Lithuania, Egypt and many more countries. A lot companies participated CeBIT for the first time and are really satisfied, planning to participate in future.
These are global trends in IT outsourcing world. More and more countries appear on the world IT market, the competition becomes more severe and quality of services grows.
